Celestia - College Girl?
(((DM Schnidigians welcomed through out the Semester long postings)))
*Cel walks into the College Arcanum in Ravenwatch and looks around at the mages and students about. She blows some hair aside and wanders to a random student*
"Excuse me, hun." she pokes a student on the shoulder.
"The hells do…*looks over to see a long slender leg. His eyes crawl up slowly to cel's face as she smiles cutely* Wow…Ahem, What can I do for you, miss…?"
"Miss Celestia"
"Yes, Celestia, not so often we have the lovely ones wandering the halls. What may I do to…ahem, for you?"
"I was wondering how I could get into the college for a few courses?"
"You have to speak with Councilor Somon. He is one of the few that look on the students."
"Lovely! Thanks for telling me. Hope I see you around, hun. Oh! What's your name?"
"Molon. Are you dating?" *he asks quick*
*Cel giggles and wanders with a wink and wave*
"Wait wait!"
*Cel peeks back* "Hum?"
"Let me show you to the offices, if you would allow me."
"Humm…Sure!"
*Molon gathers his stuff and walks along side her to the offices*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*Cel makes an appointment to see this Counselor Somon a few hours later. The office is narrow and un amusing with its stone walls and thin doors. Conversations can be heard echoing in the hallway but so much is obscuring to their meaning. She waits in a line with Molon and a few students who also wait for a meeting. Cel keeps to herself for this boring and mellow wait. Then suddenly her number is called. She makes her way down the longer hallway, looking a bit uncomfortable at the tamed surroundings. Cel looks on the office door and it opens slowly for her. *
*The man at the desk scribbles something quickly then looks up at her for but a second then back to his writing*
"Lightbringer. What has you at my office today."
"I was wondering what it took to take some classes at your College. I've been meaning to study Magical Devices exclusively. Things such as Scrolls, curious items, and the likes. I have some experience with handling artifacts and some more exotic materials. Do you think that is possible here?"
*He pauses a moment from his writing as if the last sentence really stuck in him. His dark green eyes peer up slowly*
"Is this possible you say? Missy, we hold the highest standards at this Arcanum and have done so for many years. Our graduates are dedicated students who study hard for their results. Do you want results?"
"Yes!" *she eagerly proclaims*
"Then prove it. Now…I have more appointments. Clear out."
"Yes, sir!"
"This is not a standing army. Professor will do."
*Waves a dismissive hand as he looks back down at his notes. Cel makes her way out and gives a hop when Molon walks up*
"I'm so excited! I can't wait to start!"
"I wonder if we'll be class mates." He mildly says out loud
*Cel makes her way home for the evening after a short wink and wave to Molon.*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*She sits on her bed and looks on the application. Quite a bit to fill out it seems…*
"Wow…um…this seems sort of personal. Humm…one by one I suppose?"

*Celestia makes her way to the Registration to turn in her funds and paperwork. A simple enough thing to do, yes?*
"Next…" the lazy voice calls from the stand
"Oh, that's me! I have everything here. Is this okay?"
Cel takes a hop from the line over to the stand and hands the papers
*The clerk looks up at Cel at her missing response for one of the questions and seems to study her. She shuffles uncomfortable at this and brushes a slight of hair aside. He narrows his eyes at her and then accepts the application.*
"Thank you…miss."
"You're welcome." Shyly stated.
*Her shoulder bumps another girl as they pass each other*
"Watch it, blonde! Bloody oaf…"
The cute brunette woman with an attitude passes by after a glare at Cel
"Oh! Um, sorry."
"Don't care." She makes her way from the room.
"Wow…" Cel sighs.

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel spends some time at the college picking out the two classes she had to take. She needed to take "Magic 101" along with "Magical Devices and Analysis". It all sounded like it would be difficult, but a good challenge was always fun in her ideals. She makes her way to the College's Library to pick out the books required for the class*
"Let's see…I need 'The Nature of Magic. Vol. 1 and 2. Well, thankfully I already owned these. Never read either of them all the way through. Then I need 'Technical Device Aspects Vol.1' so that can't be too hard to find, ya?"
*She looks around the book shelves for about an hour and pouts at not being able to find it. Then a few moments later Yvalee comes in to see Celestia standing at the book shelf in frustration.*
"What are you looking for?" Yva asks
"Oh! hello, hun. I'm trying to find 'Technical Device Aspects Vol.1, but I haven't found it YET."
"Hm…"
*Yvalee looks over a nearby row of books then moves to the next isle and from there she looks up*
"I think…yes, here it is, But I can't reach it. Can you?"
*Cel wanders over and hops a few times*
"Ugh! It's so high! UGH! UUUUUGH! Yay! I got it!"
"Wonderful"
"You know…this is all sort of intimidating." Cel looks on the large books.
"How so?" Yva asks.
"Well, i've never had to read through the WHOLE of these sort of books about magic type things. I usually just pick and choose things that are relevant to the moments i'm in or certain situations. "
"I see… *Yva frowns a bit while adjusting her glasses* I suppose it's needed to read the entire book, yes."
"They asked a lot of personal question on the application."
*Looks on Cel a bit*
"Do you mind that?"
"I filled it out of course, but it was kind of awkward. I left Ethnicity blank and the clerk looked at me really weird like…" *Cel frowns a bit*
"Huh? How did you not know that?"
*Cel runs a hand through her hair and frowns more*
"It…I don't know. It's complicated I suppose. I feel like such an odd person with everything that's happened…"
"Mmm, sometimes the truth isn't the easiest thing in life."
"Thanks for helping me find the book. I'm pretty nervous to be studying and having to do so much else meanwhile."
"Not a problem. Try to relax a bit. Books are there for us, as friends. Not a lot of them will harm you."
*Cel giggles to this. So the pair spend a bit of time chatting before Yvalee has to leave to attend her own matters. Cel is comforted by her words and then she is suddenly forced over with a hip check*
"Don't hog the hallway! I need to find my books also. *mutters* Bloody birthing hips…"
"Excuse me?!"
"Yes, Excuse yourself. Out of the way!"
"And who are YOU?" Cel asks a bit harshly
"Who am I? Are you kidding me? You have got to be kidding me. Only the premier sorcerer who is going to make this school of silly wizards look like they are nothing but over zealous studious jokes. Melissa Seppora. That's who. My father was an administrator here for forty years as one of the head wizards. He said I should come to this bloody school to 'refine my natural abilities'. I bet the buggart was just jealous I was born with such gifts he had to study years for."
*waves a bit of hair into Cel's face with arrogance*
"Think you could have a better attitude?"
"And who are YOU, princess? With your hair all done up like you're getting ready to BE the magic show."
"WHAT?! I'm Celestia Domina. First term here…"
"Well, don't get in my way goldie-locks. I'll be making honors the first term and blow all you little worms out of the *leans to cel's face* school. Now, don't you have something befitting an untalented person such as yourself?"
"Why you…!"
*the girl looks around for anyone then puts her forehead against Cel's*
"Watch it, sunshine. Or I will cook you."
*Melissa fires a Magic Missile at Cel's feet and she hops back with a squeak*
"Bye, goldie-locks. Don't trip on your uniform on the way out."
And with that Melissa takes her leave.
"Why that no good, self righteous, bloody- OOOOFF!!!"
Celestia trips over her robe which seemed to have fused to the ground where the Magic Missile connected.
"You have got to be KIDDING ME!" *Loud teenish squeal as she rips it off the ground*
*Celestia gets her stuff together and makes her way back to the inn/home where she soon begins to get ready for the rest of her day of adventures with a bit of agitation.*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*The first day of class is with Professor Dovhan. Yvalee had told her of him before hand so she decided to take his class though she didn't want to really think much of her after the transpired events. Cel makes her way into the College Arcanum as several students move about going every which way. It was rather energetic and Cel did feel quite excited. She makes her way to one of the lecture halls and its in one of the benches.*
Several people begin to take their seats. One guys sits to her left and he nods at her with a cocky smile. She gives a little wave with her fingers. He had black hair with a bit of an unkept look and a sharp but well shaped facial structure. It was sort of cute…in her opinion.
To her right, another guy sits next to her. When she looks at him with a smile and bright gold eyes he gives a "wha..?" Then gets up and moves away. Cel looks down at her lap with a frown as another guy with red fire like hair sits next to her. His focus is direct to the podium.
Then that …jerk, Melissa walks in and sits diagonally behind Cel. Melissa pulls her eye lid down and sticks her tongue out at Cel. Cel gives a wince with a little head shake before quickly turning back to the front. Then the teacher walks in…
"GOOD MORNING CLASS. MY NAME IS PROFESSOR MARCUS BRAVICTUS DOVHAN. I WILL BE YOUR TEACHER FOR THIS TERM'S SESSIONS.
His voice was just as it was explained…booming and loud beyond his human control. Was a good thing she sat in the middle of the class as those in the front row arched their heads as if resisting a motherly scolding.
"This class will be about several aspects of using Magical, Enchanted and Artificial Devices. Devices that you may stumble on through exploration, old researches, creation of simple wands, scrolls, artifacts, ancient materials and perhaps even relics of our graceful gods. Be it what comes I wish you to leave this class with the respect for these objects and tools for which they deserve. You will never know when one may backfire out of arrogance or curiosity."
*Cel tilts her head slightly and begins writing*
"Some of the topics we will go through are:
Deciphering a Written Spell.
Emulating a specific aspect to cast.
Emulating an alternate behavior pattern.
Understanding a feature out of your ability.
Distinguishing past specific racial aspects.
Why not to Blindly Activate these objects.
Using Scrolls.
Using Wands and Staves.
And these will be the topics of the course to come."
"This is not the order in which I will teach you the elements, but will adjust the tasks as I feel are fitting to your overwhelming abilities."
*There is a hint of sarcasm in this…*
"Today I will give you a background of who I am so that you may respect my teachings and will to gives my students a real life edge to using these objects. I have been teaching for fifteen years but have studied the craft for over thirty. You may be wondering how my voice is always booming and loud, correct? It was but the third year of teaching in which I wished to find a device to project my voice during the sessions. In this process I worked on a Gnomish Voice Throwing device. This would allow me to throw my voice to distances beyond my previous extension. I was arrogant and did not prepare the proper proportions of the devices's requirement before activation. My voice was therefore permanently damaged and now I speak with a booming voice."
*Cel frowns and feels sort of bad for the poor guy. The students are clearly overwhelmed at the idea of something so odd and random happening from a device. She shakes her head to break the imaging of that happening and continues to listen.*
"Now, I will go over what these topics will go over so pay attention."
*For the remaining hour the class goes through notes to what each topic will go over. With this the class lets out a bit early in preparation for the next sessions. Celestia gets out of her seat and the guy next to her asks:*
"Excuse me, I would like the pleasure of walking you out."
"Oh? Well, I suppose that isn't bad. Okay!" she responds.
"I am Deslion. May I ask your name, fair lady?"
"Celestia." she smiles a bit.
"New to the Arcanum then, Celestia?"
"Yes. First time here. Trying to work on my Device Using since I deal with a lot of them. Your first time here also?"
"Negative, I have been here for over a year. So I have a deal of experience among the crowd. I do fair enough in these lessons. Hardly a premier wizard to be, but mother insisted."
"Noble enough reason to attend. Oh…what is going on there?" Cel asks curiously.
"Must be some nitwit getting his lesson."
So they walk outside the Academy door and several mages seem to be around another. Seems to be Molon being shoved by a larger one to the ground. The group disperses afterwards. Cel recognizes him on the ground.
"Hey, i'm sorry, I have to tend to him. I can't leave him like that laying there." Cel frowns as she looks to Deslion.
"Farewell then. I hope to sit next to you again."
"Aye!" she runs over to Molon.
*Molon lays on the ground groaning as a hand sits on his forehead. His body wavers slightly in mild pains. Cel runs over to his side and squats down.*
"Molon! Are you okay? What happened here?" Cel helps him up.
"C…Celestia? Why are you helping me?
This is so embarrassing…and to the pretty one to which I look like a fool now…" *the last line more of a minor whisper*
"I'm helping you because its the right thing to do. Here come to the side here out of the street before you get trampled, silly."
He's helped over and Cel begins to heal his cuts and bruises.
"What did you do to make those jerks mad?"
"Bah…I get teased by them all the time. Told them they didn't know the difference between FIREBALL and FLAME ARROW so they decked me a few time. Think one snuck a Bigby in there…uhhhhh."
"That's so mean! Hey hold still, ya? Don't want to bleed on your outfit. Why didn't you just walk away?"
"Walk away? You can not just do that here. No Wizard worth his salt back down from a magic battle."
"This is your first term!"
"Same thing, Celestia! You do NOT back down. Stand up tall and take the moment. How does one become the best if not defeating the others about you? Think on that. It is not all happy happy."
"Fine. Take care of your bloody self then mister 'oh i'm so tough' and gets into fights." Cel begins to storm off.
"Celestia…wait I…I apologize. I am angry at my defeat."
"Sure…here let me take you home, silly." she sighs and helps him up.
*They make their way to his house and stand there a moment…*
"Thank you for…um…not leaving me there. Was nice of you…"
"It's alright. Get some rest okay? You got knocked down pretty hard so don't strain either. I have to get back to my other tasks for the day so keep the light always in your heart."
"Of course."
*Cel makes her way down the hillside and he stares at her a moment before entering his home*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel makes her way to Magic 101 class that follows the days after Device studies. Cel makes her way to one of the study halls and sits down. The class begins to take their seats. The students in this class don't really interact with Cel as they seem all rather serious about this course. It was noted that this class is a half semester class because it is an introductory one.
The teacher makes his way in. An older boring sort of fellow with gray slicked back hair. He is rather short and quite the average person. She does not bother thinking much more of him and waits for the lessons with book in hand. He begins to speak with a nearly monotone voice that projects well enough.*
"I am called Professor Hidant, first class wizard. I will guide your minds through this half season session so I demand attention as you demand respect. I will not bother with introductions as half of you will fail this course or drop out by the time I begin the third week. Now…here is the lesson plan initially. Specializations."
Abjuration: Spells that protect, block, or banish. An abjuration specialist is called an abjurer.
Conjuration: Spells that bring creatures or materials to the caster. A conjuration specialist is called a conjurer.
Divination: Spells that reveal information. A divination specialist is called a diviner. Unlike the other specialists, a diviner must give up only one other school.
Enchantment: Spells that imbue the recipient with some property or grant the caster power over another being. An enchantment specialist is called an enchanter.
Evocation: Spells that manipulate energy or create something from nothing. An evocation specialist is called an evoker.
Illusion: Spells that alter perception or create false images. An illusion specialist is called an illusionist.
Necromancy: Spells that manipulate, create, or destroy life or life force. A necromancy specialist is called a necromancer.
Transmutation: Spells that transform the recipient physically or change its properties in a more subtle way. A transmutation specialist is called a transmuter.
Universal Studies: Not a specialization, but a category for spells that all wizards may learn. A wizard cannot select this as a specialty school or as a prohibited school. Only a limited number of spells fall into this category.
"Sir? What is a prohibited and speciality school?" A student asks
"A school is one of eight groupings of spells, each defined by a common theme. If desired, a wizard may specialize in one school of magic. Specialization allows a wizard to cast focus on spells from the chosen school, but then never learns to cast spells from some other schools. But for everyone, there is an opposing in which you will be banned to study as it is unnecessary."
Now, as I was:
We will discuss SpellBooks.
Why we Scribe Scrolls.
Familiars.
And for your aspirations…the most powerful wizard expectations.
*He stops for a moment as the students write furiously fast*
"Oh gods…so many notes. We are going to study ALL this?" *She says lightly to herself*
*psst* "It is okay, you just need to keep up with Jenson. The guy behind you always has the answers for the tests. He shares the notes also underground. I can get you the copies."
*Cel frowns*
"I um…will figure it out. Thank you."
*he nods*
"You know where to find me. Look for Jenson when you need a hand-son."
*He leaves her alone with the horrible tag line. After the teacher reviews the topics to be discussed for the term, he lets his captives go for the morning.*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*Melissa walks up to Cel with another girl in toe right after the class*
"Good morning, Goldie-locks." A sarcastic greeting
"Um…hello, Melissa. My name is Celestia, by the way. Can I help you with something?"
"Do not care. I just wanted to come and give you a peace offering!"
"Really? What made you consider that?" Cel asks curiously.
"Come closer, goldie-locks. I shall tell you what it is."
"Um…okay." Cel leans over to hear what Melissa has to say.
*Melissa whispers*
"I will make you hot and noticeable."
*Cel blinks*
"Excuse me…?"
*There is a giggle behind cel and suddenly something is burning. Cel looks over quickly and sees her lower robe is on fire. She squeaks, drops her books and begins to wave the lower robe and swatting at it. The fire comes off but a part is gone and show her leg up to her upper thigh.*
"How are you feeling now, goldie-locks?" Melissa and her partner laugh.
*Several other students watch with interest on Cel or with mild giggles. She looks around to them and some have blushes and other with smirks or frowns. Cel picks up her stuff and looks back to Melissa…the urge to retaliate is great and calling, but instead Celestia turns to walk away quickly and push away the anger. Her eyes water up as she leaves.*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel makes her way to the college with her repaired robes and notes for the Magic Devices class. She keeps an eye out in the open area for Melissa and her cronies.*
She gets to her class and takes a seat. Notes are pulled and everything is set for the coming talk. Deslion sits next to Cel again and gives her a heads raise greeting with his smirk then Cel gives her little wave and smiles. Professor Dovhan walks in and looks on his class. There are six less students this time around but the other students seem confident and ready. A flick behind Cel is felt as her hair is nudged causing her to peek back really quick. Melissa sits behind Cel and waves an empty bone wand at her. Cel frowns and turns back to the teacher and braces for impact...
"GOOD MORNING STUDENTS."
His voice reaches out to everyone in the room. Those who were foolish enough to sit at the front again received the full force of his bellowing voice.
"TODAY WE WILL DISCUSS WHY NOT TO USE ACTIVATE MAGICAL DEVICES BLINDLY. ALLOW ME TO ELABORATE."
He points to their notebooks and they begins ready to write...
"THERE WILL BE A TIME IN A WIZARD'S YOUNG LIFE WHERE HE OR SHE MAYBE TEMPTED TO FIDDLE WITH AN EXCITING AND NEW CREATION OR PERHAPS ONE THAT WAS DISCOVERED THROUGH ODD CHANGE. MAGICAL DEVICES ARE UNEXPECTED AND ODD ITEMS. TO USE THEM ON WHIM AND THERE IS A CHANCE ONE TAKES WHEN DECIDING TO DO SO."
Dovhan pulls out a board to write on...
"FIRST OFF ONE SHOULD KNOW WHAT ACTIVATES THESE FASCINATING INVENTIONS. SOME DEVICES ARE ACTIVATED BY SPECIAL WORDS BY THEIR INVENTOR, THROUGH ACTIONS, AND EVEN THROUGH THOUGHTS. BECAUSE OF THIS RANDOM CHANCE WITH AN UNKNOWN OBJECT, ONE MAY ALREADY BEGUN ITS ACTIVATION. IF ONE HAS ACTIVATED SOMETHING SIMILAR IN THE PAST THEN THE BURDEN IS NOT SO HEAVY AS SOME DESIGN FAMILIARITY MAY MAKE IT SIMPLER TO USE."
Cel raises her hand with a frown...
"SPEAK YOUR MIND, YOUNG LADY."
"If one of us do manages to find a magical device and attempt to activate it...what are the odds of something going terribly wrong with everything?"
"WELL ENOUGH OF A QUESTION. THE CASUAL RESULT IS FAILURE TO ACTIVATE OR USE THE OBJECT AT ALL. IT WILL BE USELESS IN YOUR HANDS AND WILL SERVE NO PURPOSE OR REVEAL ANY INTENT. THE WORST...ONE MAY SUFFER A MISHAP. THIS MEAN THAT THE MAGICAL ENERGY OR ACTION IS RELEASED BUT DOES NOT AT ALL DO WHAT YOU EXPECT IT WOULD DO. MOST TIMES A TARGET FOR ITS INTENT IS MISDIRECTED OR UNCONTROLLED."
"THERE MAY BE TIMES WHERE THE ENERGY RELEASED DOES INFLICT HARM TO ITS USER. THIS IS THE SAME AS IF ONE READS A SCROLL AND THE WORDS ARE IMPROPERLY PRONOUNCED OR USED TO WHICH ANOTHER PERSON OR OBJECT WILL SUFFER THE WRATH OF ONE'S UNTRAINED MIND. ATTEMPTING TO USE A DEVICE WHICH YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WIL RESULT IN DIRE CONSEQUENCES IN WORST SENARIO. THOUGH IF A FAILURE MAY HAPPEN AND TO NO EFFECTS, ONE MAY TRY AGAIN AT A LATER HOURS FOR SOME DEVICES HAVE TIME LOCKS."
A student raises his hand in the front and braces for impact...
"SPEAK YOUR MIND, YOUNG MAN"
"Forgive me for asking sir, but is there a way to reverse any of these effects if some mishap does happen?"
"THESE MISHAPS ARE ONLY AS REPAIRABLE AS ONE'S BODY, ONE'S MIND, WHERE A DISPEL WOULD ASSIST OR THE LIKES. THE PERMANENCE OF CERTAIN EFFECTS ARE NOT ALWAYS SO CLEAR. OR SIMPLE. NOW HERE ARE THE REST OF THE NOTES FOR THIS LECTURE...."
He speaks for the rest of the time and Cel writes down as quickly as she can between the sound of his voice and occasional prods from Melissa with her bone wand.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The class ends and he rings out his congratulations for their ears not bleeding. Deslion walks with Cel out of the class then Melissa walks up to Cel.
"Morning, Sunshine."
"Oh gods...what do you want from me?"
"I just want to challenge you to a playful duel is all." she says with a wide smile.
Cel looks to Deslion and he gives a shrug.
"A proper challenge is a proper challenge. There is nothing to lose from a duel."
Cel frowns...
"I...I dont really have offensive spells of my own."
"You are taking a class for magical devices, use them, mi'lady."
"I...suppose that is fair. Is it fair?"
"What's the matter, sunshine? Think those fake magic things are not going to defeat a natural as myself?"
"Fine, I'll accept your challenge!" cel declares with some hesitation.
*Cel and Melissa stand to face off in the College. Molon and the rest of those who happen to be in the vicinity at the time gather around. Two teachers, mister loud voice included, over see the duel. Cel quickly looks through her bags and is quite unorganized. She has only ever had to use a scroll in preferred instances before, not for main combat. This has her worried. The only things moderately set are her wands, but most of those were defensive. Melissa looks confident and upstanding several feet across from where Cel stands.
One of the teachers that Cel didn't know seem to cast a spell of his own. He suddenly stands upright and an experienced mage could tell how he analyzes the duelist. He seems to just glance over Melissa once as if she was what he saw everyday, and then he looks over at Cel...his eyes widen slightly and he looks rather curious. This wizard whispers something to Dohvan who responds with a chuckle and looks then intrigued.*
"Are you ready, goldie-locks? I got a thrashing RIGHT HERE for you!"
"Um...ladies first?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RexGaPVh ... E23EC6F8F4
Melissa begins by casting a Nightshield, which is a perfect beginning if one suspected a wizard to be fighting in response.
Cel throws up her own Resist Energy spell in defense.
"Not making the first move? I figured you for a coward!"
Melissa begins with a Magic Missile assault. During this time the Teacher whispers again to Dovhan.
The assault meets with no affect against Celestia. This makes Melissa blink and ponder.
"The Hells...? Dodge this, sunshine!"
Melissa launches several Flaming Arrows at Celestia. Cel waves a wand and her own Flaming Arrows retaliate to Melissa. Mel's Flaming Arrows phase off of Celestia as the magic missiles did, but Cel's Flaming Arrows collide against Melissa who gives out a shout. Melissa fires a Darkness spell to shroud Cel and make it harder to function.
Cel looks lost and cant read any of her scrolls with this darkness about her. Cel takes out her wands and takes a deep breath. But then before she points off in the direction she thinks Melissa was in, Several Acid Arrows dive into the black cloud. More Flaming Arrows emerge from the black cloud, but they fly right into a wall near by.
"A bit out of sight, Goldie-locks? HAHAHAHA!"
Melissa launches more acid arrows into the black smoke as Cel's squeaks inside it. The black fog clears and Cel is untouched. Cel fires another set of Arrows but Melissa throws up Protection From Energy.
"How are you unaffected! What is wrong with you! JUST BURN! "
Another set of Flaming Arrows are launched. Cel retaliates with an Ice Blast wand...neither opponents are affected by the onslaught. They stand there a moment looking on each other. As they both raise their hand and want to strike again...the match is stopped. The teachers look on the pair with hidden thoughts....

((so because i spent an hour and a half writing the first draft...only to end up losing it like an idiot, im gonna keep this one brief out of my fail and frustration ahah))
*The teacher pulled the ladies over and gave melissa a speech about acting too quickly before understanding your opponent. The teacher tells the ladies to study hard so she can see them duel again in the near future. The teachers look on Cel with a curiosity any academic might have to the events of the day. Cel is annoyed by melissa's prodding as they leave the attention of the teachers. Cel is given a shove and Molon decides to walk Cel back to her room.
The walk is moderate at best and as they reach the inn he asks cel out but she denies as she does not feel well and is frustrated. He pleads for another day and she considers. A short farewell is said and our local blondie is left to her own as she prepares for the rest of the day...*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel finishes reviewing her notes and comes in to class a bit earlier this morning. She takes a seat in the empty room and takes a deep breath. Someone sits next to her and she looks over. It seems to be the one teacher who pulled her aside before who was standing next to the loud voiced teacher.*
"Oh um, hello!" she says lightly and puts her notes away.
"Celestia, yes? I have observed you the other morning and I found your unnatural defenses to be quite…exotic."
"Oh that. Um…well, I suppose."
"I would care to assist in your nourishing of this odd divine *thinks of a word* ability."
"Why?" simply stated
"You are fascinating. I have studied the divine for several years of my life in an attempt to find a way to deeply control and understand divine aspects. Yet I have no ability to use these divine abilities. I spent years on a thesis that was controversial among the wizards. My thesis was that those gifted with such powers may have had a past life relevant to the divine in which the forward generation is blessed as a compensation. But within certain limitations of course. Then I also wish to study why one has the powers, how is it used, how does it resonate with one's life force, and what is needed to store or use more divine power. Then I wish to understand how a power is gifted compared to one that is prayed for."
"That is an odd thing to study then if you can't even use it yourself, no?"
"This is truth, and while I have my suspicions to its functionality, I have done several case studies with powerful clerics and developed only a slight of knowledge."
"Wow, that sounds legitimate. Can I see some of those studies?" cel grows curious.
"Of course. I would not take without giving to you in return."
"So um…when can we talk about this? I have class in a few minutes."
"We may begins after the class if you have time for the day."
"Okay! That sounds good."
"Excellent. I am Sorenicus, forgive my lack of introduction."
The blue robed Elf mage rises and makes his way out of the class room as the Magic 101 professor comes in.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*The wave of students wander in soon after the teacher and take their seats. Cel sighs and takes out her notes again.*
"Hello Class, for those of you who forgot already my name is Professor Hidant. Welcome back to my lessons. Today we will discuss that which every potential mage is hoping to make…an Arcane Discovery! A bit of a topic to drive your motivations after our last discussion."
"Wizards spend much of their lives seeking deeper truths, hunting knowledge as if it were life itself. What is a hunt for knowledge without a passion for learning. For becoming recognized for your work and tributes to the greater community of wizardry after your life in the arcane.
The wizard's power is not necessarily the spells he wields; spells are merely the outward, most visible manifestation of that power. A wizard's true power is in his fierce intelligence, his dedication to his craft, and his ability to peel back the surface truths of reality to understand the fundamental underpinnings of existence. We are treasure hunters! Hunters of the truth and existence! Rogues of the greatest kinds that hunt with our minds not with greedy hands.
A wizard spends much of his time researching spells, and would rather find an undiscovered library than a room full of gold. A wizard need not be a reclusive bookworm, but he must have a burning curiosity for the unknown. Arcane discoveries are the results of this obsession with magic. And with our obsession our souls and hearts will reveal to us the greatest of abilities and unknown. Farallis will grant us his library of knowledge when we take the time to open a book.
Mikalson! Take notes. I see you staring without a care. Write, boy, write."
*Cel writes furiously and snaps her quill*
"Son of a…"
*The person in front of her hears this and looks back. He chuckles at her misfortune and looks back forward. Cel grumbles. Cel takes half of the quill and bites off a section of the hollow and dips it back in the ink and begins anew*
"Now class, let me discuss the differences between what you all may become in the near future. Some of you will have different majors and thesis' to write when you come to the end of your college career. Some of you are here for just a few courses and this is well also. But how ever you plan to evolve there are names for your intents.
A researcher of Opposition to their studies. With masterful determination one may break past their mental barriers that makes it hard to prepare spells from their opposite school.
Some of you may research Transmogrification through shape changing in the Multimorph studies.
The study of Construct construction is a valuable art that many are beginning to seek for their own personal defense. A high paying career with many new advances.
An Arcane Theologist. One who pours research into studying the magical items in our world such as creating potions, wondrous items and the likes.
I know a hand full are Fast Studies. Preparing and writing a spell is but a snap for those full minded students. I am one of these. I can prepare a spell in but ten minutes compared to the most in an hour.
Then there are those students who will try to study the boundaries of the multiverse! That of Planes and True Names. Researches into ancient tomes and your inquisitions of bound spirits will lead you to the deepest secrets planted by time and odd acquisitions. That to call forward an Outsider to our plane. A true name defines the very essence of a being and grants one full control over this one. Supposedly every being has a true name written on their existence and though many will never find it for themselves. We will divulge into this more at a later time.
And then there are Scroll Wielders or Scrollmasters. To some wizards, a scroll is not just a written form of a spell, it is a physical weapon meant to be used in combat like a sword or a shield. A rather odd study."
"Make sure to memorize all this. It is not the hardest of the notes and will be the least of your efforts. Now, I'll wrap things up for you here. I have an appointment to attend to with some family. Study hard. Farallis bless your knowledge. Next session we will go over elements as archaist of learned knowledge understand it."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*Cel packs her stuff and gives some of the people a wave at who ever peeks at her way. She makes her way down another hallway to go see this Sorenicus or whatnot. Once she gets to the office she sighs and knocks…*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

*Cel walks inside the room as the door creeks open...he is not there. She walks in the room with books in arms and looks on the interior.*
The whole room is split into perfect grids, though Cel didn't really notice it as she looked for more personal items, and contained many odd figures of the gods. A bit of how they are in Cear's larger temple...
A nice little circle of these figurines which seemed handcrafted stood on his desk and she assumed he may have been a slight obsessed with those of divine heritage and spells. The chair seemed made of higher end wood with intricate wood engravings.
Then several stacks of papers and notes she passed on reading, but seemed to be his own students or research subjects. Cel never liked being part of...experiments, but maybe she would learn something if he gave up a bit of her comfort zone.
Then some shouting in some rooms over...
"You better find some solid results if you want your research to keep its funding! This is a waste of precious crowns that could be invested into important studies such as Seeror's magical extraction device or Mical's splitter! This theological non-sense is at the end...THE END. You have this semester only to come up with results or you are relieved!"
Cel shuffled uncomfortably as Sorenicus walks in the room with his head down...then eyes widen as he notices Cel. His form straightens and becomes professional.
"Miss Domina...if you will excuse me this evening I must look into a matter that is quite urgent. Perhaps we could meet again soon?"
"Oh um...okay. I suppose you could find me in the halls or my class again." she shrugs.
"Wonderful. Please excuse yourself."
Cel wanders out the door and it slams behind her. She stands there a moment and leans against the door...
"Dastard! Incoherent moron! Selfish burdening fool! I will prove my theories..." sudden object breaking
Cel slowly backed away from the door and bumps into someone.
"Oww! So sorry I..."
Molon blinks and stares at Cel a moment
"What are you doing here?" He asks
"I was invited for a talk, but apparently he has other things on his mind at this moment so he invited me back later. How about you?" she tilts her head slightly.
"Well...um..."
She smiles a bit and waits for his answer as he fiddles about himself.
"I thought i'd um...follow...you?" he mutters
She laughs a bit.
"What is so funny?!"
"Nothing! Oh nothing at all. Though you're a rather adorable liar." she puts a hand on her hip.
"Fine fine...I was wondering if you needed some tutoring. I saw you staring at some notes rather blankly and thought I would be the first to ask. How does that sound?"
"Was I looking that silly? I suppose i've had some issues, so maybe one wouldn't be bad on occasion. Thanks for the offer!"
"G-g-great! Let me know when is well."
"Lovely! If you'll excuse me, hun, I have to go help clean up at the Temple and then do some private things."
She smiles cutely and waves as she makes her way out. There is some confusion in her mind, but she waves it off for now...

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Sorenicus walks into Xev's office at the college with a slow walk. His pale elven hair is unkept unlike Xev's* Master Xev. A morning and a half to you.
*Xev looks up from his notes* Good morning Sorenicus. How are you this morning?
I am rather content, Master Xev. Though I do come to you this morn with a bit of intrigue.
Oh? Now you make me curious, Do tell. *puts down his notes and Motions towards a seat opposite his desk as Soren*
It is about one of your recent fellows actually. The Lightbringer. You know that I have spent decades researching divine aspects powers.
*folds hands on the desk in front of him and looks on Sor* I have read several of your material. It is very interesting *nods* So how have Miss Domina evoked your curiosity now?
*Sor moves closer and holds a hand up as he speaks* This child is rather odd. You have felt the odd presence this one carries, is this true? I am wanting to find more of its aspects and why it is so radiant. I understand most divine warriors carry this sort of effect, but the child is different.
*Xev looks on him for a moment with his ancient green eyes and then nod* Yes. She is different. Her aura is powerful enough to manifest so I can even see it move around her. She is not like the "common" paladin.
I cannot determine the outcome of this. I have seen it deflect lower spells as our lesser globe, yet it is not prayed for as a spell nor summoned. This is odd to me.
It is known that some are powerful enough to withstand the lesser spells but that is mostly common in the planar beings. From what I understand Miss Domina have a linage of those. And I believe that she have developed a stronger resistance due to her interactions with the divine elements. Like a conduit perhaps... *he tilts head for a moment*
So this child is a conduit of direct blessings or power?
It would take some more study and I have not asked Miss Domina about all the circumstances around her life. But I believe so yes. She is very devoted to the deity Utu so if I would use theological references I could even say that she could have been a Chosen. *smiles a bit* But on a scientific way the conduit is a more proper title.
Then my retort would be as to how this power is delivered if she is a conduit. Is it through prayer? Through a physical interaction? I do ponder the direct givings of why these events occur. Though we are both unaware of the lifestyle she has, I can only make assumptions.
*rubs his chin and leans back in the chair* From my time with her she does not seem to always ask directly for this power. It is as it is part of her all the time. Her aura reflects it and never waivers. Hmm. The divine are a mysterium. As we are relying on the Clerics to explain the interactions for us.
The clerics I have interviewed have been very vague to their own responses. It is faith that spurs their abilities. You travel with these people the most. How do you see them summoning their powers?
The cleric or paladin is using prayers to "ask" for their favored deities and that way receive their powers. In a aspect they open themselves for the divinity and creates a link between themselves and the divine.
If I recall, some Canites have a way to "Syphon" a measure of power as well despite not having a god directly.
The Canites worship the Unholy Trinity. Their clerics are mostly believers of Culnul or Coloth as of now Canas have not reached a position as a God, even if many of them believe him to be one. But I have seen followers of Culnul that not believe that he is a part of the Unholy Trinity and the Canites just claims that for further their support.
*Sor looks down and ponders as they discuss the merits of divinity for the next few hours as masters of a craft would.*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel makes her way into the class for this morning's lecture with such a yawn. She sits in middle row away from Professor Dovhan's booming voice. Those unfortunate enough to be late received the seats at the front row...*
"GOOD MORNING, CLASS. TODAY WE WILL DISCUSS HOW DO DECIPHER A WRITTEN SPELL. A SCROLL IS A SPELL THAT HAS BEEN STORED IN WRITTEN FORM. A SPELL ON A SCROLL MAY ONLY BE USED ONCE. THE WRITING VANISHES WHEN PROPERLY OR IMPROPERLY READ. THE SPELL WILL BE AS POTENT AS THE ONE WHO DESIGNED IT BUT WITH RESTRICTIONS AS A PARCHMENT OF PAPER IS CERTAINLY NO LIVING BEING!"
*Cel sighs and takes notes*
"A SCROLL IS A HEAVY SHEET OF FINE VELLUM OR HIGH QUALITY PAPER. THE SIZE USUALLY IS LETTER BASED, 8 HALF, BY 11, AND IS SUFFICIENT TO HOLD ONE SPELL. ONE OF YOU, PASS ME A SCROLL."
*One of the students out front pass a scroll over to him*
"THANK YOU. A SCROLL CAN HOLD A SECOND SPELL AT THE COST OFF AN EXTRA TWELVE INCHES IN LEGNTH. SOME SCROLLS ARE REINFORCED AT THE TOP AND BOTTOMS WITH REINFORCING RODS AND STRIPS OF LEATHER FOR DURABILITY, THIS BEING MORE SO IN LARGER SIZE SCROLLS. TO PROTECT IT FROM WRINKLING OR TEARING, A SCROLL IS ROLLED UP FROM BOTH ENDS TO FORM A DOUBLE CYLINDER. IT IS A PRACTICE IN SAFETY AND QUICK READING FOR THE CASTER. A TUBE OF IVORY, JADE OR EVEN METAL IS A GOOD CASE TO CARRY YOUR SCROLLS IN. SOME OF THESE CASES CAN EVEN CONTAIN TRAPS FOR THE MORE CRAFTY DESIGNER."
*Cel writes furiously as a yawn escapes her. A student looks over at her and he gives a 'what's up' head raise. She gives a tired smile and shrugs a 'I dunno, just here'. He gives a 'I understand' slow nod and gives rises brow of 'what you got there?' at her table. She slightly holds up her notes and tilts her head slightly that suggests 'need it?' He gives a nod and she passes it over for a few seconds. He passes it back and it has written on it...*
School Dance in a few days, want to go?
*She blushes a bit and shakes her head a 'no thanks' and resumes writing.*
"TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS ON THE SCROLL ONE MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH THE LANGUAGE AND CONTEXT. MOST SCROLLS HAVE AN ELEMENT OF DRAGONIC IN THEIR CONTENT, BUT DOES NOT ALWAYS NEED TO BE UNDERSTOOD TO DECIPHER THE CONTENT IF YOU ARE DILIGENT. THE AGE OF THE WRITING COULD SHOW DIFFERENT AFFLICTIONS IN LANGUAGE AS THAT EVOLVES OVER TIME, THUS MAKING THE CONTENT HARDER TO READ. A WISER PERSON MIGHT REALIZE THE CONTENT FASTER, BUT A CLEVER PERSON MAY BE ABLE TO SIMPLY TRANSLATE EVERYTHING AND AVOID A FALSE CONCLUSION.
NOW, ONCE YOU HAVE THIS CONTENT, ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, IT WILL BE EASY TO READ, DECIPHER, AND CAST THE SPELL FROM THE SCROLL. NOW I HAVE A BIT OF A LECTURE AND WE WILL CONCLUDE TODAY'S LESSONS..."
*Cel stands up and thinks about the school dance when suddenly...*
"Celestia...?"
"She looks over and smiles to Molon*
"Hello there! How are you this evening? Class was a...headache."
"S-sorry. Hey I was wondering if you'd like to go to the dance in two days."
"I have...a date in mind. I have to head back over to Thrall's Gate and still study for a while. Then I have to send word to my boyfriend and hope he can make it down in time. And then a dress..."
"b...boyfriend..?! I...I see. Well, enjoy the rest of your day. I have um...a lot to do." *he wanders off with low shoulders*
*Then a rather bitchy voice...Melissa.*
"You're going to the dance? With yourself? HAHAHAHAHA! You're grades are so average i'd think you were the Lamebringer! Who'd want to go out with a ditzy blondie like YOU."
"Shut up! I have a boyfriend, okay!"
"Whatever! Maybe he just likes your body, hahaha!"
"Leave me alone! I'm too busy to deal with you."
"Doing what? Trying to not fail at whatever life you have? I bet you couldn't even cast a magic missile on your own! HAHAHAHAHA"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
"Oh? Or WHAT?" Melissa threatens.
*Cel taken in a breath of frustration... and then lets it go.*
"Nothing..."
"What I thought! Beat it goldie locks before I hurl over your grade average."
*Her eyes water after she turns away and walks from Melissa's annoying presence to resume her day...*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*Celestia is exhausted after a day of fighting and running about. Busy as she was she wanted to make special time for this school dance. She gets to Ravenwatch where she encounters Caric. Without hesitation she asks him to the dance.
The evening is rich with the stars and air is warm for the early summer eves to come. The college is bursting with life and all manners of wizards who seek the fun as they do the knowledge they strive for each day.*
*Celestia spends a good hour looking as well as she can for Caric and for the dance to come. Caric makes sure his armor is nice and shiny. Cel wears a lovely blue dress.*
"You're wearing armor tonight? *she giggles* Expecting the unexpected?"
*She smiles and gives him a quick peck*
"Okay love, shall we make our way to the college?
*Smiles and returns the kiss, careful not to muss her hair*
"Yes, my dear, let us go"
Our lovely heroes make their way to the college as magic lights make the street to the school brilliant. Students in droves are making their way in as the pair muster their way through the crowd. As they reach the entrance some one bump into Caric...
"HEY WATCH IT!" A woman shouts
*Deftly tries to avoid to hard a collision* "My pardon, ma'am"
"Yes, whatevr--wow you are quite handsome! Want to be my date for the evening? You'll be the most popular man in school in a week." *Her current date raises a brow*
*Shakes his head and pulls Celestia closer*
"I have already come with my beloved, Celestia, and care only to be popular in her eyes. My apologies., ma'am."
*Cel blushes brightly and waves to Melissa*
"That is...Melissa. Grand socialite. *says sarcastically*
"You're with HER? You sir must have brain damage. Humph! She's hardly the talent. Whatever...I have a fine piece here myself!" *pulls her vict--date over and he waves to the pair*
*smiles and bows slightly* "A pleasure Melissa." *nods to the other man in greeting*
*He bows in politeness and suddenly is jerked along to the inside of the college* "Bye loser!" Melissa calls out.
*Cel grumbles*
*chuckles* "Ah, it is good such people can play their games of station, it means we are doing our job."
*Cel smiles a bit* "I suppose so! Lets go and out dance them, ya?"
*chuckles* "If you would like, I could smite her toes..."
*Cel just laughs* "Another day!"
*laughs and takes her hand* "Then let us go to dance them into defeat!"
"Yes, love!"
The inside of the college is just as brilliant. Mages creating magical flows in the air, the magic lighting is brilliant and welcoming, the dance floor is filled with some students, and most look to their best while others seem to dawn their student outfits still.
*Looks about, taking in the ambiance, and watching the dancers*
"The dancing does not seem so different from those performed in Arabel" *he whispers into her ear*
"Aye! All sorts of dancing here. It's so lively, I love it!"
They are approached by one of the instructors. He looks on them and smiles.
"Good evening, Professor Dovhan!" *Cel says*
*Caric nods a greeting and looks to Cel with a smile* "Greetings, Professor."
*As he opens his mouth, Cel clings hard to his arm and seems to brace for impact...*
"GREETINGS TO YOU GOOD SIR AND TO YOU MISS DOMINA. IT IS A PLEASURE TO SEE YOU HERE THIS EVENING. THIS ONE DOES SEEM FAMILIAR." *he speaks with a super loud voice that seems to boom like a microphone. Students near by wince*
*Caric tries to hide his own wince, and smiles*
"Caric Carrock, of the Argentum Vigilo, and Flamebearer of Tyrak, at your service."
"AH YES, SIR CARIC! A GRAND PLEASURE TO MAKE YOUR ACQUAINTANCE. DO SEND MY REGARDS TO YOUR BROTHERHOOD AS WELL. YOU TWO MAKE QUITE THE PAIR THIS EVE. I AM HER TEACHER FOR UNDERSTANDING MAGICAL DEVICES CLASS"
*Cel smiles kindly with a slight wince*
"He's a good teacher."
*Grins through the pain*
"Our thanks, good Professor. I shall do so, and the pleasure is mine." *nods his head respectfully*
"DO ENJOY YOUR EVENING, I SHALL ENJOY THE REFRESHMENTS."
*He makes his way off to the food table and Cel lets out a sigh of relief*
*Chuckles* "I do hope you never have to make him repeat himself!" *hugs Celestia tight*
*Blushes and smiles* "Lets go to the dance floor now! I'm dying to be twirled by you!"
*laughs* "I hope that is only a term, and not literal!" *takes her hand and leads her to the floor, amongst the other dancers*
*Cel can't help but smile as they are together on the dance floor. she looks on him with such affection as the bards play their musics and play sounds with their magics. Caric does his best to mimic those around them, but his eyes seem only focused on Celestia, a smile upon his lips, and the occasional dart of the eyes to their feet, so make certain hers are not in danger of being under his. A few dances in someone pokes Caric's shoulder gently*
"Um...e-excuse me" Someone asks shyly.
*Gives Celestia an apologetic look, and ceases dancing, looking over his shoulder to the poker* "Yes?"
"Oh um...I...I..." He studders as he looks on the tall Caric.
"That's Molon, one of the conjuration students" Cel replies.
*Gives Celestia a smile and a wink and turns to the student* "Molon, the Conjuror? How can I help you?"
"I um...M...may I...um...h-have this dance?" Clearly intimidated by the armored and tall valiant knight*
*smiles and shakes his head*
"My apologies, but Celestia has taken it upon herself to teach me the ways of Dasarian dancing, and we have but barely started!"
"O-oh! A-alright. Thank you f-for your time." *he nods once and slinks away*
*Chuckles and smiles to Celestia*
"Mages are usually more assertive, in my experience, anyways!"
"Much more! This one is rather shy though. Its different, but he's friendly enough, hehe. He's been trying to go out with me all semester."
*Smiles and dances with her* "Perhaps I should have not been so glib about our dance being no more than lessons, eh?" *chuckles*
*She laughs and stands close to him* "It is well, shall we continue on, love?"
"I want for nothing more, my love"
*he whispers in her ear, again, being careful of their footing, as if in a duel, almost*
The dancing is wondrous to her as she spends time with him. She corrects step mistakes and shares laughs with him. The students all seem to be having fun and for a time the rivalry get from being between magic to that of dancing. Nothing could phase her world and almost an hour passes.
*Cel begins to sweat and gives an exhausted sigh* "Phew, want to take a break?"
*smiles at her* "Of course, I shall get you a drink. I assume they are serving some beverage or another."
"Aye! Anything you think would be nice." She takes a step of the dance floor as Caric goes along to the refreshment table.
The table is surrounded by people and there seems to be a small line. Caric waits in line, often looking over to Cel with a wink or a wave. She blushes and waves back shyly. Caric seems to see someone staring at them...coldly and with a smirk. He seems tall and has red dyed hair. Caric closes his eyes and focuses a moment, detecting evil in all those around, letting the line stall behind him briefly. He then opens his eyes and moves forward to get a couple glasses of punch. There are others of evil nature, but this one...different. He makes a mental note of the man, even meeting his gaze openly for a moment as he walks back to Celestia, handing her the drink.
"Another shy one?" *he asks her with a obvious nod to the man*
*Smiles as she receives her drink and turns to the one staring at them. He smirks at them and gives a wink as he makes way down a hall way*
I...don't recall seeing him around. Maybe a new student or someone who likes hair dye?"
*shrugs and takes a drink* "Evil, so watch yourself...as usual!" *chuckles*
"He is? Curious."
*smiles* "Not so rare, in this profession. Nor this Empire. It is that had he a mustache, I suspect he would have been twirling it." *grins at her*
*she bends over laughing*
"Silly! Hey, do you want to see my class room?" *she smiles innocently*
*nods and laughs with her*
"Of course, lead on, my love"
*Takes his hand and leads him down one of the hallways. It's completely empty and quiet in the halls as they get to one of the doors. It opens effortlessly and is a mini amphitheater of sorts. She runs over to the podium where the teacher usually stands and waves to Caric*
"Okay students, have your seats!"
*laughs, looking about and taking a seat in the front row*
"A nice school, this is. The average classroom in Rell more resembles the gladiator arena than this."
"Really? I've never had any formal education before this. Its so exciting. Its rather difficult..."
*smiles up to her* "Aye, but unlike this arcane school, the arts trained in Rell were teh martial. For the most part."
"Wow! I wish I could have had martial arts school! You studied with them?"
*nods* "Aye, martial training is mandatory, where I was raised. For the forces of Canas are always at our border, ever advancing. We are taught the art of war, from siege to route."
*Smiles and hops off the stage and goes over to him with a bit of a mischievous smile*
"A learned man you are then, great soldier! Perhaps you could preform a siege on me?" *She says seductively.
"You would likely break my resolve before I could hope to even threaten you with anything but...."
*but then the sound of glass breaking outside the room echoes. He enjoys her play, then looks back, at the sound of the glass*
*she frowns a bit* "Who would be down here?"
*stands, hand on the hilt of his sword* "Shall we see, Love?"
*nods as she jogs to the door and peeks outside. There seems to be broken glass at one of the room doors. He follows her out, drawing his blade and approaching the door. Cel reaches in the window and opens the door from inside. One of the larger class rooms seems to have someone fiddling at a desk, papers being thrown out and curses*
"You there! State your business!"
*Caric shouts, his sword pointing at the person"
*The red haired man looks up and winces*
"Shiit...well, better here now than later."
*His mouth opens and his teeth are fangs...a fire ball lashes out at them. Caric charges the man, ignoring the fireball, and putting his helm on. The fireball pops on Caric and the student’s body explodes out of the student outfit to reveal a demonic form*
"DO NOT INTERFERE!"
*Cel winces* "By the heavens..." *Cel reaches up her dress and takes out a wand*
*Caric feels the sensation others have told him is heat, but his flesh, immune to such harm, takes no note of it, and he kicks the desk aside, facing the demon head on with his sword drawn*
"I am glad you are not human, for redemption is not for your kind!"
"REDEEM THIS, TOOL OF FLAME."
*It swipes a massive claw at him but takes several magic missiles to the side of his body*
"BLOODY HARLOT!"
*Caric catches the claw in his free hand, a bit of blood from the claw of the demon. His other stabbing forth his cold iron bastard sword for the demon's chest. The blade enters the demon's body. It spits out an acid cloud at Caric with some blood dripping from its mouth. Caric winces and releases the claw to cover his face, the acid burning into him but not with the same intensity it would an average human, all the while, twisting his blade, trying to cut and tear whatever innards he can while his blade pierces the demon flesh.
It coughs out more blood and more missiles collide with the beast as its unbalanced from the injury. The demon falls on its side and hisses*
"I WILL CONSUME YOUR FLESH AND FEED HER TO THE INCUBUS!" *coughs*
*Glances back to Celestia. She looks fine as she's been using a wand to assault the Demon in support fire. Caric then brings his attention back to the demon, his sword over his head, in a two-handed grip, ready to smite the beast*
"Your threats are wasted on those that know not fear!"
*Brings his blade down with all his might. The demon smiles before the blade dives through it and fizzles into an acidic pool. He frowns, looking at the ruined floor and desk, then wipes his blade clean with a handful of the papers*
"Do you suppose this one was trying to find the answers to the next exam?"
"I'd like it was looking for something more...* She walks over to the pushed over desk and peeks in the drawer. She finds some notes on a ritual that seems to involve a summoning or sorts.* Humm...?"
*sheathes his blade and looks over her shoulder at the papers* "Hmmm?"
"I think this looks like a summon of sorts?"
*nods and frowns at the paper* "If there is a professor he you can trust, I suggest asking them. Although what it might summon that would be more fearsome than what we just faced is hard to imagine."
*Cel nods* "I'll ask a teacher I know about it. Maybe it will bring some insight, no?"
*Caric nods* "Aye. Surely it was not for the demon's use, but for whomever summoned the demon. So, in the wise words of someone I talked to earlier tonight: 'Expect the unexpected" *grins*
*She laughs and puts the papers in her top* Well, so much for the romantic evening, ya? Want to get out of here?
*finishes another potion of regeneration, and the slight burns disappear from his neck and chin and hands, and smiles at her* "Let us get another drink, and have another dance, before we leave, if you would like?"
*smiles brightly and nods quickly* I'd love to! Thanks for coming out with me, love. Demons aside...you've made my day wonderful.
*pulls her close, kissing her* "And now your toes should be safer, now that I have gotten the smiting out of my system"
*she blushes deeply and for the rest of they evening they enjoy the life of the party and the fanciful effects of music, magic and love.*

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Sorenicus walks into the battered classroom and looks around with a calm face. He makes his way to the desk and opens one of the drawers in specific. His brow raises when it is empty. With a subtle sign of annoyance he lets a breath go and leaves the classroom.*

“Thanos! Can you look on these notes? I don’t know what they are and…pretty please?”
“Of course, young Lightbringer.”
*He sits up straight and looks on the scroll. Cel and Quinn peek at each other then back to Thanos. He raises a brow*
“Blood Magic.”
“Eh?”
“It requires four clerics.”
Quinn purses her lips and leans over to look on the scroll
“How did you see that? Where does it say?” Cel asks for a moment of tutelage.
Thanos uses a skeletal finger to point
“These 4 marks. And this is where they would stand.”
“I should probably educate myself.” Quinn notes
The page seems to have some things crossed out as if it was a rough draft. It has somethings re written again and others erased in ink. Thanos peeks closer and seems some of the crossed out words.
“Devil’s blood, holy materials, fey blood, elemental essences…This person is planning something. Something very dangerous.”
“Now..when it calls for blood, does it mean ALL of the blood from a being or just a prick?” Quinn questions
“A larger quantity most likely. More blood would increase odds of success with an experiment.”
Quinn and Cel nod with a frown.
“Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, Thanos. This makes everything…more curious.”
*He looks back to his drink and nods*
“Do be well, young Lightbringer.”

Re: Celestia - College Girl?
*Cel makes her way out of class one morning and grumbles at the moderate test score she gains from Dovhan. She didn’t give much thought after Molon begins to approach her.*
“G-good evening, C-Celestia.”
“Oh! Hello there. How are you this morning?”
“I am w-well. I hear there is something odd in the evening the college Magnus ruins. I saw professor Sorenicus wandering around there. M-maybe we should investigate?”
“Why do you want to investigate? Maybe he’s looking for things he can use in the old ruins.”
“I just…just think it could be enlightening and p-perhaps we can learn a mage secret.”
“Well, maybe an hour won’t hurt then. See you there?”
“Y-yes!”
“Great!” Cel smiles cutely and wanders off.
That Evening…
Molon and Cel meet up in front of the college. Cel wears a lightly summer outfit with mythril lining for defense. Molon comes in his mages robes…of course. They spot Sorenicus making his way to the ruins. They follow along at a distance with invisibility. They aren’t masters of stealth but keeping far enough wasn’t too hard to do until inside the ruins. Sorenicus looks back once after climbing down a ladder directly at them and then to the side. He keeps on walking and the pair sigh in relief.
The professor opens the door to the Magnus ruins and makes his way in. The pair follow behind as best they can until the professor slips behind some crates. The pair look at each other and then slips through as carefully as they can. They see a door with an X painted on it. Perhaps the room was out of proper use as one of the sealed off areas of the ruins. The pair open the door slowly as a creek of the door pierces their soul.
Molon begins to whisper to Cel…
“You go in first. I will watch our exit, o-okay?”
Cel nods and makes her way in. As her eyes easily adjust to the dark room she sees a magic circle of some sort and four pillars around it covered in a cloth. Cel looks around and makes her way to the circle. It looks almost like the one Thanos…oh shi…
“Celestia…”
Cel gives a squeak and looks behind quickly where Sorenicus stands with hands behind his back.
“Dear child, why for have you followed me into this most private chamber?”
“Oh I um…I um…sorry?”
He begins to approach her and pulls a dagger from his cloak. Cel frowns and backs up as he approaches…backs into the circle.
“Celestia…I have need of you. I need you for my little ritual here. You see I have spend so long studying divine aspects so that I may be able to use divine spells and abilities for myself. I was approached by a fabulous being that said that I could have this power with the proper…how do I say, requirements? So I need some of your blood, child.”
“Why? What do you plan to do with this?!”
“Let me show you…”
The professor walks over to one of the draped pillars and pulls off the cloth.
Cel’s eyes widen and she covers her mouth as an innocent cleric is trapped within the glass.
“Yes, do not avert your eyes to the ritual that I will use to give myself divine powers along with the well thought out exchange of these Clerics. I will summon a powerful devil to complete the rite.”
“This is bloody disgusting! You’re disgusting! No way in all that is holy will I let this happen!!”
Cel draws her sword and looks on the professor. He looks on Cel and puts his dagger away.
“I have you where I need you anyways, child.”
He begins to chant at the edge of the circle and she looks down…inside the circle. Her eyes widen and she aims the sword to the ground and though it hurts a bit she uses a sound blast and a jump away to launch herself far enough to get out of the circle. She tumbles head over heels for a moment and rubs her head.
“I should have expected as much…” He raises a hand and Cel reaches in her bag for a scroll in the other hand. A dozen advanced missiles fly towards Cel. Hey eyes widen. A sound blast is thrown at a few, but the majority of these collide with her. She yelps out in pain and winces. In counter she charges at the mage after reading a scroll. He sighs and sends a powerful blast of ice at Cel, but she shrugs a lot of it off as she continues through. His speed hastens with a spell and he evades her slash.
“Damn mages…” Cel mutters
“Child, you have no hopes to defeat me with your simple tactics. You will be placed in the circle and then used promptly.”
Cel stops and realizes this is true. But there was one thing he needed…
“Hit me again, stupid mage!” Cel runs towards the Circle.
He sighs and prepares to fire another salvo. A dozen missiles fly from his hand and Cel dives behind one of the cleric towers. They collide with the glass and it begins to break. Cel throws uses her wand to fire minor missiles to another glass to break one after the other.
“Cease this!”
He fires again at Celestia and she without cover now takes the salvo full on. She screams in pain as they collide with her.
The 4 clerics look on Sorenicus and say a prayer together and series of divine hammers explode around Sorenicus causing him to collapse to the ground. The clerics then fall to ground in exhaustion. Cel stands up in pain from the series of powerful missiles and walks over to Sorenicus to holds his collar.
“WHY?!”
He wince as his body is showered in pain from the divine hammers that had pounded on him.
“Chi…ld…It is for research. I could have…taught students how to…use divine magics. How to borrow its power, but my study was never given much…credit. It was misunderstood…”
“You didn’t have to do all this. You studied this so intently for divine powers, but did you ever think what these clerics or I have in common at all? What we do for these powers?”
*he considers* “Prayers are for the powers.”
“No, silly! Prayers are a part of it, sure, but do you know why we receive these as we pray or not? It’s because we love our god. Love the beings that look over us day to day as we struggle against those who would defile what they and us believe in! I love Utu. I speak to Utu even when somedays it feels like I can’t be heard. I do so because I have faith in Utu. I have faith that i’ll be shown a way to improve the lives of hundreds and maybe…just maybe…my own life. Do you see? Its not just praying alone, but the intent behind the prayers! The intent behind why we fight, heal, live and die as we are. These clerics care for their gods genuinely! You only looked for the power…”
“Perhaps my lack of faith and genuine belief that I could simply offer myself to the gods is where I failed. My intent was not worthy. I should have applied less study into they how and more into the why…”
“This was still evil and hateful. You’d never gain their favor with such malice in your actions. You’ll be punished in the next life…” Cel says with disdain for the desperate mage. Then Molon walks in…
“I must say this was dramatic.” Molon claps slowly.
“Huh? Molon! Get out quick! It could still be dangerous here.”
“No, Celestia. I am afraid that it is still dangerous for you.”
“What…?”
Molon says some words and devilish wings rip out his back side and the form of Molon turns into that of a devil.
“No!!”
“Yes, I have been supporting Sorenicus after his research was denied by the headmaster of the estate. My master has offered me tutelage after supporting the mage here…which he has failed on his own.”
“Sick monster! You made Molon up and used this to play with me!”
“My act of Molon was perfect. The boy who played affections towards you, his shy demeanor, his moderate behavior as a person, his ability to blend in with the other rival driven mages…it was perfect. You never bothered to look into the boy who revolved around you as other men have tried. That is what made it so easy. That you were able to look past him and that he was so uninteresting of a person that you gave no second thought to what I truly was. You are not as complex as some make you out to be. Perhaps if you were less trusting…” The devil smirks widely.
Cel’s eyes water with frustration, embarrassment and anger. Her sword hums low and threatening.
“Be nice now. I plan to finish this all then start again with another over zealous magister who’s curiosity might be enticed. Do enjoy your death.”
“G-good evening, C-Celestia.”

*Cel looks at the Devil that was Molon with a broken heart. Her eyes look to pierce him as she would hope her blade will. So she stands to spit some blood. Elios hums loud in anticipation for the assault. The Devil's body emerges from the skin of the body he used with a gripping smile across its face.*
"I will savor your soul, child. Sweeter than a virgin's frightful face after the first bite from my teeth and claws."
*With a flap of its wings it begins to charge aggressively. Cel fires a sound blast from her sword then goes to run towards the door back into the Magnus Basement. The Devil slaps the blast aside with a wing as it stalls for just enough time that Cel reaches the other room. The basement is dark, but Cel has not much trouble seeing what is around her. She runs through the corridor and tries to think of an idea to defeat the Demon. She's unarmored and was hardly prepared for such an encounter. She checks her bag and fiddles with the few scrolls on her and makes note of a few wands. She focuses and some prayers to begin energizing.*
The devil speaks in Molon's voice: "Where are you, Celestia? I'm so scared. Please Celestia! I love you! Please! Muhahaha."
"You sick fu--"
"THERE YOU ARE!"
*Cel squeaks as she's interrupted and dives to the gound as suddenly the Devil flies through some crates and his wing span blows debris around. Cel runs down the hall a bit and opens a scroll*
"Dodge this, freak!"
She reads an advanced magic missile attack and the paper flashes as a dozen missiles fly after the airborne monster. The missiles chase the monster until it is backed against a wall. It swings its wings and knock a few away, but a majority slam into the beast. She opens another and then throws it as it explodes close to the corner of the Devil. After a few seconds there is a laugh and suddenly a crate near her explodes open to have her blown away. With a wince she aims her sword at the devil as it approaches then fires another sound blast. It winces and moves through it. Cel runs down another corner and coughs some blood.
"Bloody...hell. If I engage him i'll get torn up. Think...think. The sound blasts aren't enough right now."
*Cel runs into a corner and curses. She fiddles in her bag again and looks to the Relic of Etoth. She blinks a moment.*
"If I can hit em with this...then all he has left is his frontal assaults. That would make him much more predictable. I need to him him once...just once."
*Cel takes out the Hammer of Balance and takes in a deep breath. She tears off a sleeve from her outfit and sticks it on the side of a crate. She can already feel its hunger for magic...*
"I'm here you, bastard!"
Cel goes invisible with a wand and tries run around behind it as he approaches. It laughs and sees her 'arm' sticking out. He rushes it and with a massive swing slices several of the crates with its arm. It looks for the body and sees...the sleeve. It roars and is interrupted with a massive swing to its back. It roars as his leg is frosted. It looks back and tries to cast a fireball at Cel...but it can't. Cel smirks a bit then runs away again.
"FILTHY WHORE! I will savor your blood and death longer than any other!"
It dives through some crates to suddenly behind by an Cone of Cold. Sorenicus stands there weakened and looks at the devil.
"I will...not be...a tool." Mordenkainen's Sword is summoned and dives after the Devil.
"Foolish mortal! BEGONE!"
The Devil charges the sword and strikes it several times to destroy it, but not before taking some slashes before hand. Sorenicus fires another salvo of Greater Missiles at the Devil while distracted. It roars out then charges at Sorenicus once more. Sorenicus tries to place another spell but is suddenly lifted up as a claw penetrates his body. His eyes widen as a gasp of blood escapes his mouth. Cel comes from behind and stabs Elios in his back. With a free hand Cel is grabbed and the pair now are next to each other.
"ENOUGH OF THESE GAMES. YOU BOTH DIE! NOW."
Sorenicus speaks faintly and looks at Cel.
"I...apologize...for my manner. I see now...w...what you meant and wh...what I must do."
Cel struggles as tears fill her eyes.
"Don't...please! Don't die."
Sorenicus gives Cel an immunity to fire. The Devil laughs as he bites into the shoulder of the clawed man. And Sorenicus gives one final spell...and they explode violently together.
Cel is launched through a crate and lays there unconscious a moment...
The Devil screams as his arm is blown off and loses a wing. It sputters around aimlessly a moment at the shock and looks to the damage on his body. His anger bubbles and hate intensifies. Cel begins to awaken and rubs her head of its dizziness. The Devil looks to her and heads her way. Cel starts to crawl away and picks up a plank of broken crate in a daze.
The Devil swings at her with his last right arm but is blocked by a sudden divine shield. Cel shouts out...
"NOW!"
The Devil chuckles weakly, but the the sword in his upper back...!
"Wench...!"
Then Elios gives a sound blast from the inside of his body and the Devil falls over.
Cel crawls over and removes her friend from the back of the Devil. She lays down next to it and wearily looks on the Devil's form. Her eyes fill with tears and begins to race down her face.
Cel screams out into the empty basement from where she lays...
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
The last few days of the College semester are quiet and moderate.
The finals are rough for someone like Cel, but she gets a fair grade at the end and proves she has indeed learned enough about Using Magical Devices and Spellcraft.
Besides the usual teasing or passive aggressive students...her last few days are with a heavy heart and with a strong feeling of betrayal. She looks to everyone as if they could be the next demon trying to rip out her soul. Who does she trust...who can she trust here?
The last class of Professor Dovhan is more so a day of receiving the final grade and being on their way. Cel comes into the class room and is asked to shut the door. Cel looks suspicious and closes the door. She walks to the table and braces for the loud voice, but it doesn't come...? He puts something odd in his mouth and speaks.
"Child, I have heard of the events that have conspired. You must feel magic is quite evil at this point, don't you?"
Cel gives a depressed nod and looks surprised at Dovhan.
"This device here makes my voice normal."
Cel speaks exhaustedly... "Why do you not always use it?"
"Because they all need to understand that when mistakes are made there are always consequences, no matter how small or large. Though many of the students have yet to learn humility and to be careful...I believe everyone has potential. Celestia, such devices, magic, and creativity are a blessing from Farallis, not a curse. Like any power...it can be abused, but it can also bring a future where lives are made more efficient. Do you understand?"
Cel looks up at Dovhan and after a moment of consideration gives a nod. Dovhan smiles faintly and gives her the recognition of his class' completion.
"I hope for a land where arcane and divine can be appreciated together... not only viewed as completely separate entities."
"Thank you, Professor."
This is all she can seem to say before she gives a less depressed smile then leaves for her room in Ravenwatch.
For an hour she sits in the bed looking in the mirror at the Lady of Light in it. She smiles faintly and speaks out loud.
"You know...I wish I knew how to feel right now. Like more of my world is just pushing closer on to me and it is harder to push back sometimes. I'm a freak of nature, aren't I. Sometimes I don't know what to do with myself. I don't know what i have inside me or what I can really do. Every time I try there is a road block to keep me from learning more. And was I too trusting? Was I so used to such a minor things as boys chasing me that I didn't even bother to realize that evil was right on my heels? Why am I always asking so many questions! WHY CAN'T I FIGURE IT OUT! WHAT AM I WAITING FOR?! I studied for the semester because I wanted to feel less defenseless and can help others. To keep from falling so often and to be able to contribute to a mage's conversation without feeling stupid and ignorant! Yet...I still feel ignorant and foolish at times. You said there was answers for all questions, Utu. I just...need a few."
*Cel cries and looks at her Bracer of Utu...the medallion with his mark. She lays down then and puts the pillow on her face.*
"That's just how it goes..."

The night is far spent, the day is at hand;
Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us wear the armor of light.
