A new story.

Post by Hvrankel »

Memories.
Lightning lit up the night and howling winds broke the windows in the city of Cear. There was screams of sorrow and despair. A God had died and there was a fight for the remains in the divine realms. Where once the moon had been it was a void.

A flash.
Planar maps and several odd devices was throw all over the room. Time was of the essence the old elf felt. The clock was ticking.

Flash.
Blood. It is raining blood. Another God had died. This time it was Etoth, the lawkeeper.
The old elf works without rest in his home and outside the world is breaking apart, chaos all over.

Another flash.
He has finaly the last part. Now the streets of Cear are cracking up and magma are slowly making its way towards the ocean, making a steamcloud that covers most of the city. People have given up. There is no way to run. The earth is rumbeling low. Tick.

Tock.
On the way home the old elf finds a old friend who leans against the fountain in Cear. Tears and despair makes out her face as she faints. She had been trying to save everyone before herself. He hesitates for a moment as his mind makes fast calculations and then lifts her up.

The mirror that the old elf had been creating was glowing in a green light. In the reflection there was shadows that not should be there. Twisting and swirling. He looked over his home for the last time as the walls started to creak and collapse. With a sigh he left his possessions and while carefully carrying his friend he walked thru the mirror. Tic..

Xev opened his ancient green eyes and looked up on the showerhead. The water was warm and comforting. He listened to the sound from outside the shower. The wailing of sirens and the sounds of a busy city. And as usual he heard the sound from a afternoonshow as Celest was watching that and cleaning her guns, a daily routine. With a chuckle he dried his hair and dressed. Time for another day at work.
