Have a magic bag? Warning here. You need to read this
We are removing the magic bags from all players shortly. This is a warning post that you need to remove any item that you want to keep from the bag immediately.
When we pull the bags, it will destroy the contents, so dont delay.
This is due to a server instability issue relating to bags.

No magic bags? Darn, you just destroyed the hopes of many merchants wannabe.
But really now, I do understand why you guys took them... but I say we players still need a storage for items. A small one, nothing big really... perhaps a bank? No lag then, I suppose... perhaps this bank could be at the districts? Meaning more time for characters to finish storing their items until others come to do the same... or would it still lag?
Bah, let others think. That's what I always say. Hail the laziness.

That's a good question, however, some would have them just so that they could reduce the weight of some items they held, like healing kits and potions, which can weigh quite a bit in large quantities.. and since most people usually fail to take a decent increase in Strength to equal out other stats..Stormknife wrote:I guess my question is:
Why do you have so much stuff that you require another storage unit?

I agree with the decision to eliminate the bags. I brought up the server lag issue after I found a bag of my own. I would like to point out though that bags are not just for those who carry 100's of pots and kits around. My character is a weak lil guy and cannot carry very much. NWN2 applies a movement penalty when you reach 66% of your carrying capacity. I bought 3 of the very nice christmas robes from the guy in red with the belly like jelly and I am overburdened just from that 30lbs. I am constantly using bulls str until I find a better solution. There are legitimate reasons for storage other than hording. Many items have sentimental value over the course of time and it would be nice to have some way of allowing even us weaklings to keep our mementos.Stormknife wrote:I guess my question is:

Maybe there could be a different kind of magic bags implemented?
Like.. they reduce weight a full 100% but they can only store a very few items.. say three or four max. That way, you can haul that valuable armor back to sell, but you won't be cluttering the server with hundreds of items in your bag?

Seeing NwN2's new capabilities, wouldn't it be possible to just get a wand that makes its ITEM target weigh X lbs less?
That way there would be no storage issues.
Or did OE not follow up on what they promised? They said it would be possible to make spells in the toolset, no extra haks.
Come to think of it, I think they said the same about dieties.

they gave a great purpose to crafting, the Malar became an endangered species.
I don't feel any shame, I won't apologise

You bet that's alot of emptying. I was very near to filling up the bag (102 of max). Lets just say. Alot of selling of things was in order.Kazak wrote:and that's a lot of emptying to do CK!ChikenKannon wrote:GAH! Must empty bags! *rushes off to the servers*
