Question - Warlocks & Spell Resistance

Post by Wyvern »

Does spell resistance help counter a Warlock's artillery? If so, does anyone have any numbers on how effective it is? Something along the lines of "A level XX Warlock casting at someone with spell resistance YY has a ZZ% chance of the spell failing."
It's just a game...

And I assume Warlocks are hampered by spell failure percentages in exactly the same way as arcane casters are?

It works exactly like SR does for a wizard or sorcerer. So a level 10 warlock trying to use an invocation on something with SR 20 needs to roll a 10 on the D20.

The only exception is Vitriolic Blast (in case I got the name wrong: the acidic one). That one ignores SR entirely.

Yup.

NO! Just farmland, some farmers and some ordinary 5-10th level beetles. Nothing fancy really. Not at all. Perhaps a large, underground beetle area as well--hm, this sounds oddly familiar..

No dispel, spell failure or resistance.. you evil DM.. *grumbles*

Isn't there a warlock incantation that specifically avoids spell resistence though? Like the acid one or something
I'm always right. I'm also a jerk. It's not my fault you can't get over the latter to see the former.

You know I don't bother reading anything you say fully. Don't hold that against me.
