Any recommended items?
I tinker around in the toolset now and again. Making items has become a little bit of a hobby of mine, so I was wondering if there were any particular item types the playerbase or DMs wanted to see more than others.
...Besides belts. I've already conjured up some and submitted them, and I'm well aware of the fact there's only one on the server at the moment.

What ever you make, be sure the items have an interesting and campaign relevant story. Items without a story are nothing but clutter. Items with a good story enrich the world. The same can be said for all player created content. Never create something just to have it in the game. Make sure it adds to the flavor of Dasaria.

What, exactly, constitutes an 'interesting story'? Something like what is seen on the 'unique' +2 weaponry (i.e. the Broken Vokk Blade has a little blurb about why it's red)Rob wrote:What ever you make, be sure the items have an interesting and campaign relevant story. Uninteresting and Irrelevant
Broken Orc Sword +2
This broken orc sword is stained with the blood of many enemies.
Interesting and Relevant
Broken Vokk Blade +2
A number of Vokk-created weapons have made their way into the outside world, and this appears to be one of them; albeit a bit broken. The red hue of the sturdy iron blade is said to have come from soaking in the blood of the Shai Orcs, and cannot be cleaned. Though broken, the sword remains balanced and sharp.

they do? dammit! now i'll never get my regeneration!papaya taco wrote:I think I'll avoid regeneration items; equipping one would prevent those custom potions from working, and those are better to have around in a fight where lots of damage is being exchanged.
Insanity has been kind to me, but no longer.

I made some clothes for the seamstress store using the currently available models. They will be integrated into the module at some point. Of course, all I had to work with was the plain looking Obsidian original content. "Skimpy" clothing would have to be added to the list of models before that stuff could be made in the builder. There's a few good hakpacks for female clothing on the vault, if the admin wants to go that direction.
Lucy: Geez that ogre hits hard! But in some strange way, I like it...
There are a few popular weapons that don't have any named versions yet, kukri, dagger and greatsword comes to mind. Ring selection seems narrow as well. There's a good amount of special necklaces, but very few rings. Shields with special properties are also lacking.
I'd also like to see a few specialized weapons, like a club with no normal bonuses but extra damage versus undead, or weak swords with minor fire damage for finishing off trolls.
