Halloween
I dressed up as a Roman soldier with the whole "red cloak/sash" and the fake armor. I even had the sandals with leg armor and a kewl sword. My wife and I just handed out candy to kids all night. I thought I had a good costume until one little boy said, "Oh look! What a cool ninja!"
Oh well..... it was fun none the less...

The dread pirate Roberts from the pricess bride. Had the black puffy sleeved shirt tight pants and thighboots with the zoro type mask. Didn't wear my sword out as you can really have problems here doing that. My daughter was dressed in a monkey costume.

I had a tie-dyed shirt and sweats on - so you could say I was half hippie,
half college student - though I did tell my Professor I was a college
student. He dared any of us to dress up as 16th century historical figures
for extra credit. No one did it.

I once went to the Globe theatre with a group of about 30 friends, all of us dressed in 16th Century clothes. The rest of the audience kept looking at us as if they were thinking "when are these guys going to do something?" I guess they thought we were part of the showVahene wrote:He dared any of us to dress up as 16th century historical figures

The Shakespearian tradition had it that the actors wore contemporary (ie C16th) clothes, not costume, regardless of the period setting of the play, hence references to a doublet in "Julius Caesar". The new Globe largely follows this tradition when performing Shakespearian works, with all of the cast in C16 clothes regardless of the subject of the play.

Cool costume Mon.
One of the last costumed guests we had last night was a lad who dressed
up from head to toe in a grim reaper outfit. Scythe and everything (the
weapon, rather fortunately, wasn't real, but plastic). Head to toe in black
material made a very spooky costume.
