Elves

Just a little rant for me here. No need to reply. I'm venting.

What in the **** happened to just plain elves in NWN2????
I don't want to be a drow. Or a sun elf. Or a wood elf. I just want to be an elf. Preferably a Rian elf.

But only sometimes. You know, for an alt.

I feel your frustration.

I think the Rian elves are most like the Wood Elves, myself, while the other sub-races may be from other Elven kingdoms.

But man, they should just have a standard "elf", that, or have a subrace which doesn't lean one way or another.

Meh, Elves are SO NWN 1. Just wait, eventually all races will evolve into Gelatinous Cubes and all of the balance issues will be resolved.

Anyway...we could add Rian Elf as a subrace very easily if you would like...

I concur with the Rian Elves being Wood Elves.

Just an idea.

I'm used to campaigns where the elves had a single realm for each offshoot, so you basically had four places, probably small, from which the Wood, High, Gray and Dark originated. These places would be represented by off-map details, I guess. It just allows players the most choice and the DMs to control background a little.

Uhm...
okay Forgotten Realms is the Campaign setting for NWN2, In FR theirs no "elf" race but the common elves are moon elves

So if you want to play a normal elf play a moon elf

Btw if you think this is bad.. look at DnD3.5 theirs something like 10+ varieties of elf.
