Scythes also have a psychological effect on players though, which is another point in thier favor. I know in my PnP campaign whenever I hear of an enemy with a scythe I think "oh HELL..." so it acts as a deterrant for other players attacking me (since they don't want to risk a crit taking them out).

The scythes are sorta the chosen weapons for sentimental reasons (read: my first decent PnP campaign had us chased by a bunch of scythe wielding maniacs which managed to utterly murder our fighter types). I'm not looking to power game although I must admit I _WAS_ curious why WM seemed to stop at 7 ...
